"Santos Populares" Celebration at the Medium-Term Care and Rehabilitation Unit
Medium Term and Rehabilitation Unit
Our Medium-Term Care and Rehabilitation Unit (UMDR) dressed up for the occasion to celebrate the *Santos Populares* (Popular Saints) festival, an initiative that saw the active participation of patients, family members, and staff.
Together, they crafted various decorations typical of the season—such as paper sausages, a bonfire, basil plants, and balloons—as well as a very special sardine, decorated with the fingerprints of all our patients and personalized with the Continuing Care logo. Short poems dedicated to the *Santos Populares* and our unit were also created, showcasing creativity and team spirit.
This activity fostered social interaction, sharing, and good cheer, strengthening the bonds between patients, families, and staff. Celebrating traditions is also a way to promote well-being, inclusion, and everyone's participation in the life of our unit.
