"A Lesson from the Sea," by author Carmen Garcia, with illustrations by Tiago Leal, is a moving and educational story about the importance of protecting the oceans.

Through the discovery of a sea turtle in danger, the children sensitively understood how pollution and plastic affect life in the sea.

More than a story, this book conveys essential values ​​such as respect for nature, recycling, and the importance of small gestures to care for the planet.

 

Inspired by the story, the children at the "A Semente" Children's Center took advantage of this moment to build the turtle Guiomar, using paints, textures, collages, and colored papers, giving free rein to their creativity while exploring different materials and sensations.
