Over the course of several days, the children engaged in various sensory experiences: they fed the caterpillar, explored materials through filling and emptying, and built their own caterpillars with modeling clay.
The story came to life through dramatization, to the sound of Ana Amaro's song "Nhoqui eats a lot, the caterpillar," promoting movement, imagination, and expression!
To culminate, they recorded their learning on a panel about the caterpillar's life cycle and painted its wings, with which they happily "flew" through the park.
At the "Os Piratinhas" daycare center, the proposals are designed in a cross-curricular way, promoting a holistic and integrated education, based on actively listening to the child, as recommended by the pedagogical guidelines for daycare centers.
